Offering regular and charter flights, Transavia is a low-cost airline based in the Netherlands. The airline operates primarily to destinations in Europe and around the Mediterranean. It also flies to cities elsewhere in Africa and the Middle East. Many travellers can earn and spend miles with Transavia if they are members of Flying Blue.

About Flying Blue

Flying Blue is a free loyalty programme from Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Aircalin, Kenya Airways and TAROM also use it as their frequent flyer programme, as does Transavia. Award miles are based on ticket fare or class of service. Miles are also earned and spent on other partners, including members of SkyTeam.

There are four tiers of Flying Blue status – Explorer, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Progression from one tier to another are based on the number of Experience Points, or XP, earned each year. The amount of XP earned depends on the travel class and flight type. There are perks included for each tier, from extra miles and free seats to airport lounge access and additional checked baggage.

Transavia and Flying Blue

Travelling with Transavia as a Flying Blue member means you can:

• Earn miles
• Spend miles
• Earn Elite bonus Miles (with Plus and Max Fare tickets only)
• Gain XP (with Plus and Max Fare tickets only)
• Extend validity of Miles

You can earn Flying Blue miles on flights operated by Transavia with flight numbers featuring HV or TO. You can also book reward tickets on these flights using earned miles. Travellers get 250 miles on Basic Fare tickets by paying an extra €5 each way. With Plus Fare tickets, you earn 250 miles automatically. Travellers enrolled with Flying Blue that book a Max Fare ticket are entitled to 500 miles.
