Where can you see tulips in or nearby Amsterdam?

Where tulips
When spring sets in at the start of March, the familiar sandy patches across Amsterdam and beyond are covered with green spouts from the ground. During the peak of the season, the area around the city is covered with orange, pink, red and yellow blooms of the awesome tulips. Here are some of the areas to find these tulip sprouts.

Keukenhof Gardens

This garden located in Lisse, South Holland is one of the most famous planned gardens. It is a perfect mix of the wild and floral beauty and has several floral displays in indoor pavilions. Unfortunately, this park is only open in two months a year but has thousands of tourists visiting it.

Noordwijkerhout

This is a strip of fertile land located between Leiden and city of Haarlem. The area is famous for expansive tulip gardens. Interestingly, the area has several sand dunes and an awesome landscape for explorers. It also has a rugged, beautiful shoreline.

Lisse

Apart from Keukenhof, Lisse hosts several other tulip fields across the expansive area. Most of these fields produce flowers for the international market. The fields are very beautiful and accessible by bike.

Noordoostpolder

Noordoostpolder was earlier submerged in the sea until its reclamation in the 20th century. The expansive area has thousands of acres covered with beautiful tulips. Some of the gardens even have guided tours across the fields. The land is flat with breathtaking floral and green cover during spring. If you love riding, this is a place you can enjoy biking as you savour nature’s beauty.
