You are planning to go on an excursion for the weekend for a party or to see visit your parents or whatever it may be. Certain things are a must-do before you commence the journey and packing is at the top of the list. However, while packing, you need to be very particular to only pack the essentials and some extras in case.

A weekend getaway is a short trip that needs two to three clothes and the rest of the necessary stuff. As trivial as the matter seems, there is a good number of people who find it hard packing for a short trip due to being used to pack for long journeys. Toiletries

Toiletries come before anything else. Its rather you forget an extra pair of shoes or dress than leave behind toiletries. You will have to buy them again on your way or once you arrive and these are additional costs that you can avoid. Toiletries are a word and they vary between male and female. Being a lady calls for the need to pack more toiletries based on your needs. Toiletries include;

Some of these like tissues may seem petty since you have access to free of charge at certain places you might visit but are very necessary in case there is a shortage there. Basically, any bare essentials necessary for preparation and grooming should be included in the toiletries list. Apart from these, another thing apart from contact lenses and medication are extras and you are aware of that.

Clothes

You need to have a change of clothes with you for the next two days you are going to be away and probably for an event you are attending. Depending on the purpose of the weekend getaway, you will need to pack a pair of clothes or two that serve the purpose. If you are wearing jeans, do not forget to bring with you a pair of pyjamas for the night. You can skip packing jeans if you put them on a majority of people wear the same pair of jeans more than once hence less baggage.

Extra cash

Living on a budget is very essential if you want to lead a well-sustained life but that does not mean you chock yourself on expenditure. Chances are, you have budgeted for the weekend away and set aside the cash but there is a need to bring extra cash for a rainy day. Nobody knows tomorrow or the turn of events in the next hour. Besides, you might come across something that you like or you need and is available at a cheap price compared to where you stay.

Bringing your camera and phone along with you is always a wise idea. In the current world where we cannot seem to stop taking photos and keeping up with the trend, there is a need to carry your camera and phone fully charged. Do not forget to pack your power bank, chargers and travel adapters as well.
