Connecting flights are typically via the airline’s main hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. There, passengers change aircraft. Connecting flights between Amsterdam and Philadelphia are significantly longer journeys. The trip is generally at least 14 hours and 30 minutes when travelling to Europe. When returning to the United States, flights are between 16 and 18 hours or longer.

Several airlines offer connecting flights between Amsterdam and Philadelphia. Like connecting flights available with American and its partners, these services require a longer journey time than non-stop flights. Connecting services are typically, at a minimum, just under 12 hours with United Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

 

Examples of connecting flights with United include options via the airline’s hubs in Chicago O’Hare International Airport or Washington Dulles International Airport. Delta also connects these two cities with flights via its hubs at Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis-Saint Paul or Detroit.
