In 2006, its name was changed in memory of professional footballer George Best. The direct flight from Belfast International Airport to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is 1 hour and 35 minutes. Returning to Northern Ireland, the flight from Amsterdam is slightly longer at 1 hour and 40 minutes. Flights are generally operated on Airbus A320 or A318 aircraft.
