UK passengers making the short journey across the English Channel to France have an enormous choice of flights that connect many regions of the two countries. The largest airlines, British Airways and Air France, generally operate between the major airports of Heathrow and Charles de Gaulle, offering a daily service between the two capitals of London and Paris. British Airways also has regular flights from Gatwick and Manchester that land in Paris and other large cities such as Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseilles, Montpellier, Nantes, Nice and Toulouse. Air France has similar flights including journeys between Gatwick and Orly Airport in Paris.

 

With Ryanair to France

Ireland’s Ryanair has one of the largest networks operating between the UK and France. The airline operates daily flights from many UK locations such as, London’s Stansted Airport, Edinburgh, the East Midlands and Manchester to Nantes in the Loire Valley and from Standsted to Clermont Ferrand. There are also many other flights available including, Leeds to Nice, Edinburgh and Southend to Marseilles and Luton and Stansted to Nimes. Passengers can also travel from Birmingham to Perpignan and Bristol to Beziers. Additional Ryanair destinations include, Limoges, Poitiers, La Rochelle and Lourdes. From 2020, the airline is introducing yet another regular flight between Manchester and Beauvais Airport, which is just to the north of Paris.

 

Other airlines and flights from the UK to France

Several well-known airlines such as EasyJet and Virgin Connect, offer regular flights between many cities around the UK and French locations. EasyJet offers routes to Paris from Belfast, Bristol, Luton, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Southend, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester. Passengers heading for Nantes can board the airline in Liverpool, Stansted and Gatwick. There are also flights from airports such as Belfast and Southend to Lyon, Marseilles, Montpellier, and Bordeaux. Flybe offers regular flights from cities in many regions of the UK such as Birmingham, Manchester, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Exeter, Newcastle, Southampton, Doncaster and Edinburgh that land in Paris, Lyon, Caen, and Bordeaux. Jet2 has flights from Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Stansted to Paris, Grenoble, Lyon and Nice.
