The Amsterdam Dance Event is both a festival and a music conference that pulls together the creative talent in electronic music. ADE involves a series of activities divided as ADE by day festival and conference) and ADE by night (festival). Each of the events is held in different locations around Amsterdam as explained below.
ADE by Day
ADE by day program takes place at De Brakke Grond. It is a multi-day program that showcases the most recent technologies in music and studio labs. You get a chance to meet your favourite artists and learn about music production in the masterclasses and workshops. Upcoming artists can get feedback on their music by making a music pitch at the event. Finally, there is a Beamlab that showcases the latest stage designs and visual stage technologies.
ADE by Night
ADE byNight is a music festival that showcases electronic music artists; both upcoming and pioneers in the industry. The concerts are held in over 120 locations across Amsterdam. Moreover, there are over 2,000 participating artists in these shows. The common locations include concert hall, clubs, stadium, museums and sometimes at Amsterdam Central Station. A list of the performing artists, performance locations and tickets are announced at the ADE site a few months before the concerts, which happen in Mid October.
ADE Conference
The ADE conference happens at DeLaMar Theatre. It is a three-day event that focuses on the brands, dance and tech. Most delegates at the event are business executives in the electronic music industry who are looking for the latest trends and to get inspiration on new avenues of marketing the music.
