Henri Coanda International Airport is about 16 km from the Romanian capital and is the busiest air hub in the country. Several national and low-cost airlines offer regular flights to destinations across Europe. The airstrip is linked to the city centre by bus, train, and taxi, so you can easily continue your trip to Bucharest.

Located near Cluj-Napoca in the northwest of the state, it is the main entrance for travellers travelling to the historical region of Transylvania. As Brasov and Sibiu are becoming increasingly popular in cities, the airports in these areas offer a wider choice of airlines and flights.
