Does Phoenix Airport Have Sleeping Pods?

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the biggest and busiest airport in Arizona. For travelers who are tired or have long layovers, finding a place to rest or nap here can sometimes be difficult.

Fortunately, the airport offers a variety of options where a weary traveler can relax. These range from restrooms to benches, couches, and airport lounges. There are also quite a few hotels near the airport.

Sleeping Pods / Cabins at Phoenix Airport

At the time of writing, sleeping pods were not yet available at Phoenix Airport. This is unfortunate, but we are sure that the situation will change in the foreseeable future.

Restrooms

Luckily, there is at least one family restroom in each terminal. These restrooms are private and can be used for changing clothes and taking a break from the mayhem outside.

Benches and couches

In Terminal A, not far from gate D, there are a few seats without armrests. In terminal 3 (before you get to the security area) Starbucks has a couple of couches. In the same terminal, there are also a few wooden benches without armrests.

Airport Lounges

There are quite a few lounges at Phoenix Airport. Unfortunately, none of them offer a restroom or sleeping facilities for passengers who want to take a nap. You can, however, at least relax for an hour or two while waiting for your connecting flight and enjoy their facilities such as snacks and drinks, reading materials, Wi-Fi, and TV.

Sleeping pod alternatives > Transit Hotels attached to / near Phoenix Airport

While sleeping in the airport can be convenient, some travelers prefer to stay in a nearby hotel. Fortunately, there are several hotels within a few miles of the airport. One of them is the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport Hotel, which is located just a mile away. A great plus is that it offers a complimentary 24/7 shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel features a fitness center, outdoor pool, and an on-site restaurant.

Another option is the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Airport, which is located two miles from the airport. The hotel also provides a complimentary 24/7 shuttle service to the airport and has an on-site restaurant and an outdoor pool.

For those looking for a more upmarket experience, the Arizona Biltmore will be a good choice. It is located only 7 miles from the airport and features a full-service spa, multiple restaurants, fitness center, swim-up bar, and even a golf course. While it is a bit further away from the airport, it may be well worth the extra drive.
