Does Amsterdam airport have global entry?

In a nutshell, no Amsterdam airport does not have Global Entry. To be fair, it wouldn’t be much use to you as a passenger either arriving or departing from the airport because it is a scheme that pre-approves travellers for clearance into the United States. Whilst it would be possible to depart from Amsterdam and fly to an American airport with global entry status, it is something that would be arranged before your arrival at the airport. This means that there isn’t any need for the airport to support it.

The Amsterdam Schiphol Airport does support the Dutch Privium Scheme. This is a subscription-based scheme that gives members many benefits when they are using the airport, including fast-track clearance through security. In 2009, the scheme was opened up to members of Global Entry. Those members could pay the fee to join the Privium scheme and enjoy all of the benefits whenever they visited Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Essentially, members of the Global Entry scheme could enjoy fast-track entry into both the United States and Amsterdam.

What are the benefits of Privium?

There are many benefits associated with the Privium Scheme, should you choose the premium membership. Whilst basic membership just gets you that fast-track entry, premium membership means that you can enjoy access to a dedicated lounge, faster check-in and priority parking spaces at the airport.

How do I join the Privium Scheme?

You can choose which level of membership to take out and order it all online, at this stage you will receive an invoice for your order Once you have done that, you will need to make an appointment at the Privium ClubLounge within Amsterdam Schiphol airport so that your information can be collected. You should expect this appointment to last around 20 minutes and it will involve an iris scan, which is how you are identified when going through fast-track security clearance. Once all of that is complete and you have paid for your membership you will receive a card, which is ready for immediate use. Make your appointment for a time when you are at the airport and you are then good to go on your travels.
