Does Hamad Airport in Doha, Qatar Have Sleeping Pods?

If you will soon be catching a connecting flight at Hamad Airport in Doha, you might have to face a long wait. In that case, you will probably be interested in finding a quiet place to take a nap or even sleep for a few hours. Continue reading to learn more about the available options at Doha Hamad Airport.

Seating / Sleeping On The Floor

Doha Airport offers lots of seating, but most of these are fitted with armrests. If you are on a tight budget, at least try to find a semi-reclining one. Otherwise, you could try sleeping on a quiet section of (carpeted) floor – although this is technically speaking not allowed.

Doha Airport Rest Zones

Doha Airport also has a couple of Quiet Rooms. These are gender-separated, so no luck for families flying together. These rooms have lounge chairs that are semi-reclining.

Doha Hamad Airport Lounges

Although this airport has more than one lounge, none of them has any rest areas or facilities for sleeping.

Doha Airport Sleeping Pods

The good news is that Hamad Airport in Doha has enough sleeping pods to cater to 107 guests of all ages. The main provider is Sleep ‘n Fly. These are located in 2 lounges in Concourse C and Free Plaza South.

Options include the following:

Economy Pods

This is the most budget-friendly alternative. Every pod offers a latex mattress, pillow, cotton sheets, and fleece blanket, which is great if you just need to rest for a couple of hours.

These pods can not be booked ahead of time; they are only for walk-om guests. You will find them at the Sleep ‘n Fly lounge in Concourse C, not far from Gates C31 and C30.

FlexiSuite Pods

These ultra-modern and high-tech pods have been designed with the needs of single travelers in mind. That is why they look surprisingly similar to the business-class seats one finds on most modern airplanes.

The FlexiSuite pods offer the following features (and more):

– A 90°to 180° seat that can be converted to a flat bed
– Overhead storage for carry-on luggage
– Air-conditioning with individual controls
– USB sockets
– Power sockets
– Indirect LED lighting featuring dimmer switches to create a cozy atmosphere
– Reading light
– A folding table (solid wood) that can be used as a small desk
– Pods are soundproof
– a 32-inch screen that can be connected to your tablet, smartphone, or tablet via HDMI
– Separate storage area for your mobile phone, tablet, or shoes
– Although bed linen is not included, it is available for an extra fee

YAWN Double Cabins

These cabins are very popular among layover guests and are available for single or double use. They feature everything the FlexiSuite Pods (see above) offer, except the price also includes bed linen.

Other options

More options include YAWN Bunk Cabins, YAWN family bunk cabins, and Power Nap Therapy Pods.
