Does LAX Airport Have Sleeping Pods?

If you are a regular flyer and used to long waiting periods between connecting flights, you will know exactly how tiring it can be to wait for many hours on an uncomfortable chair for your next flight. Luckily, if you are yearning for a place to rest between flights at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), there are several options available – including lounges, benches, couches, and nearby hotels.

Sleeping Pods at LAX Airport

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there were no sleeping pods available at LAX. Why such a major airport does not have this facility yet we can not explain at this stage.

Lounges

LAX offer several airline lounges that offer areas in which to relax, including the American Airlines Admirals Club, Delta Sky Club, and United Club. These lounges provide comfortable seating, quiet areas, and sometimes even showers and food services. Please note that access may involve a fee.

Benches and Couches

While not the most comfortable option, there are plenty of benches and couches scattered throughout LAX. If you don’t mind sleeping in a public area, these can be a good option for a quick nap.

Rest Zones

LAX has designated rest zones located throughout the airport, which provide a quiet place to rest between flights. These rest zones offer comfortable seating, dim lighting, and sometimes even power outlets.

Best alternatives for Sleeping Pods: Hotels in / near the LA airport

There are several hotels located near the airport that offer shuttle services. Here are five options worth considering:

Hyatt Regency. Situated only a single block from the airport, this hotel is within walking distance from LAX, or you can use the free shuttle. It offers soundproof rooms, comfortable beds, and a 24-hour fitness center.

Hilton. This option is located just a short shuttle ride from the airport and offers comfortable accommodation with amenities such as Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs.

Courtyard by Marriott. Located on Century Boulevard, the Courtyard is only 1.5 miles from LAX and offers a complimentary shuttle, spacious rooms, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool.

Sheraton Gateway. The Gateway is located just half a mile from the airport and promises comfortable rooms with flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Renaissance. This establishment is also situated only a few minutes from LAX. Its facilities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, and comfy rooms with pillowtop beds.

The bottom line is that if you need a place to rest between flights at LAX, there are several options at your disposal. Which one you choose should depend on your preferences, budget, and the length of your layover.
