These two popular airlines have now formed a partnership. As a passenger you should benefit from streamlined schedules between them. There’ll even be more choice regarding interconnecting flights and stopovers. Both airlines still continue to operate as separate entities. But what other similarities are there in their services?
Luxury travel
You’ll find it hard to choose between the First Class services. Both airlines offer a superb travel experience that makes your flight one of sheer luxury. You have an individual cubicle in a spacious cabin. You are surrounded by panels for improved privacy. There is an integral desk and a large monitor with a choice of on demand programmes. You’ll be able to continue with your work, enjoy some entertainment or simply relax without being disturbed. When you need to sleep, both airlines provide fully flat beds. The seats are easy to extend, but British Airways staff are usually on hand to switch them for you. They’ll also bring you a comfortable mattress topper. With Qatar, you rely on the comfort provided by the padded seat.
Executive efficiency with Qatar Airways and British Airways
Many passengers have to travel by air as part of their jobs. These days, travelling Business Class is virtually a guarantee of arriving relaxed and energised. However, Business Class is a popular service where competition between the airlines is intense. British Airways have upgraded their Business cabin to ensure each seat now has its own access point from the main aisle. You also have a bed that’s as comfortable as in First Class. Qatar’s Q Suite is also an upgraded service. Your seat within the cabin is spacious, calm and well-appointed. You even have the benefit of sliding doors and an illuminated ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign. It ensures you can complete a difficult work assignment or enjoy some quality sleep.
Inexpensive advantages
The two airlines haven’t forgotten passengers travelling with limited funds. Qatar’s Economy features multiple rows of seats that have a high degree of comfort. They also recline for when you want to rest on a long haul flight. British Airways offers several economical choices in addition to a basic Economy seat. If you like extra room to move, Premium Economy is a much better option as there’s an extended pitch between seats. They also have more width than on either BA’s regular Economy or Qatar’s. Headrests and cushions are standard, but BA also provides headphones with a noise reduction facility.
British Airways or Qatar Airways – Which cuisine is best?
The meals in each First Class feature à la carte menus with wine or champagne. BA offer a Dine Anytime service where you can choose to eat whenever you want. Business Class passengers who fly with Qatar Airlines have the choice of a nutritious vegan meal. When flying Business with BA, you can usually select an à la carte main course from a limited First Class menu. It even includes afternoon tea with pastries and cakes. If you’re taking a flight in BA’s Premium Economy, you can select your main course from the regular Business Class menu. A distinctive touch of luxury in Premium Economy is your meal is served on porcelain crockery. In Economy with either airline, delicious meals are served in plastic containers.
