American Airlines offers seasonal flights from its hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Daily flights are generally available from May to September, although the schedule is subject to change.

 

From Dallas/Fort Worth to Amsterdam, the non-stop flight is approximately 9 hours and 30 minutes. Returning to the United States, the intercontinental flight from Amsterdam to Dallas/Fort Worth lasts about 10 hours and 25 minutes.

 

American’s flights between Amsterdam and Dallas/Fort Worth are on Boeing 787-9 aircraft. These planes feature American’s Flagship Business class with stylish lie-flat seats. There is also Premium Economy and Main Cabin seating. For extra leg room in economy class, American’s 787-9 also has Main Cabin Extra seating.

Connecting flights between Dallas / Fort Worth and Amsterdam

 

Connecting flights are, at a minimum, between 11 and 12 hours when flying to Europe. Returning to Texas, connecting flights are longer and generally at least 13 or 14 hours. These times include layovers at connecting airports where travellers change planes.

 

In addition to seasonal non-stop flights, American offers connecting flights throughout the year. These connections are through the airline’s other hubs. For example, flights to Amsterdam are available with an aircraft change at Philadelphia International Airport. Connecting flights are also available with American’s partners. For example, American operates codeshare flights with British Airways via London’s Heathrow Airport. The flight between Dallas/Fort Worth and London is flown by American. Between London and Amsterdam, the flight is operated by British Airways.

 

Other options include United Airlines, which links Dallas/Fort Worth and Amsterdam through its hubs at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston or Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Delta also offers flights via the airline’s hubs at Atlanta, Detroit, or Minneapolis. Qatar Airways, Air Canada, Lufthansa and other airlines also offer connections between these two cities. These flights, however, are generally longer than those offered by U.S.-based airlines.
