Apeldoorn is a city in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the east of the Netherlands and is easy to reach by train from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. You can catch a train with a single transit, there are no direct trains. The travel time will be about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Gasthuis Pension Via Quidam is located just outside of Apeldoorn, in the city of Vaasen. It is a 15 minute drive from the city center of Apeldoorn. We wanted to include this guesthouse because it is a very affordable stay outside of the city while the city is still very easy to reach by car or public transportation.

The guesthouse is build in an old monastery which makes the stay extra special and worthy to be mentioned in this list. The guesthouse is a recognized national monument and offers 15 rooms, a private park and a beautiful flower garden. All rooms come with their own sitting area, tv and dvd-player.
