All airlines that fly from UK to Turkey

Due to its success as a tourist destination, Turkey is served by a large number of airlines from the UK. It should be noted that many of these airlines are seasonal, that is they provide flights from UK regional airports to the beach and tourist resorts in Turkey during the high-season summer months. A number of airlines provide full-service flights between the UK and major cities in Turkey.

Direct flights to Turkey

Turkish airlines, British Airways and Jet2 offer regular, direct flights to cities in Turkey. The seasonal airlines offering holiday flights to Turkish resorts are also mostly direct but are not available throughout the entire year.

Flight time from UK to Turkey

The flight time between London and Istanbul is around four hours and forty-five minutes. Flights to the seasonal resorts may take in excess of five hours. It should be remembered that the seasonal airlines are considered as low-cost-carriers, therefore, the level of service offered by these airlines will not be comparable to the full-service airlines such as British Airways or Turkish Airlines.

Destinations in Turkey from UK

Turkey has over thirty regional airports that support both international and domestic flights. Some destinations are large commercial centers whose airports are dealing with business travelers while other destinations available to UK travelers are wide ranging and will expand and shrink as required during the tourist season.

New Istanbul airport

With the first phase now operational, many flights are already using the New Istanbul Airport. Due for completion in 2027, the airport will be able to accommodate 200 million travelers per year. The airport will be a hub connecting with the other airport in the regional cities of Turkey. The former Istanbul Ataturk airport closed in April 2019 after all of its traffic was relocated to the new airport.
